The Scale Tool is a tool in Build Mode that allows players to manipulate the size of various items. Introduced in Version 0.9.6, the Scale Tool is the newest tool to be added into Build Mode. Players can toggle the Scale Tool by clicking on its icon on the center right, or by pressing V on a Windows or Mac device. This tool requires the Advanced Placing gamepass.
Usage[]
Inspired by Roblox Studio, players can use the Scale Tool to make an item longer, wider, and taller. To use this feature, players must activate the hot key or press on the icon, then click on the item they want to scale. This tool is useful for achieving a perfect size of an item, compared to using the default size included in the item. For example, paintings can be made smaller or larger, bushes can be made wider, chandeliers can be made longer, and more larger. Not all items are capable of having their size changed, or it may be limited to certain size changes.
The tool is mostly useful for Basic Shapes, as the functionality of those shapes are meant to have their size changed for various build designs. However, it can be useful for other objects too such as decorations like a Paper Pile.
Trivia[]
- Using the Grid Size Tool in Build Mode, scaling can be made more accurate or less accurate depending on the grid size.
- Players have to pay extra to resize their object. The bigger or smaller an object is, the more they will have to pay.
